  • Industry-first post-free distraction — the first post-free hip distraction system for arthroscopy, designed to mitigate groin complications and heel slip associated with traditional perineal-post and boot technology.
  • Broad procedural coverage — state-of-the-art surgical table accessories spanning six hip procedures: hip arthroscopy, Direct Anterior total hip arthroplasty, hip pinning, hip fractures, PAO, and DFO.
  • Streamlined workflow — one system, one simplified OR, with no patient transfers between hip procedures.
  • Post-free patient safety — in a study of 1,000 hip arthroscopies performed without a perineal post, there were no groin-related soft tissue or nerve complications reported.
  • Heel-slip mitigation — Boa system boots with an achilles block designed to secure the patient's ankle during distraction and hip procedures.
  • Precise limb positioning — a gas-shock-assisted vertical spar safety mechanism for precise foot and leg positioning, letting you easily raise and lower the patient's foot during surgery.
  • Traction force feedback — an integrated traction force gauge that estimates the amount of force applied to the patient.
  • Carbon fiber construction — a carbon fiber tabletop extension to support joint replacement and trauma procedures, plus a carbon fiber femoral support for stability and improved visualization of critical anatomy.
  • Robotics + planning integration — compatible with the Mako robot for total hip applications, and works alongside Stryker's HipMap pre-operative planning and HipCheck intra-operative resection tools.
  • Type: Post-free hip distraction / patient positioning system (attaches to a standard OR table)
  • Frame: Radiolucent carbon fiber construction for full anterior/posterior fluoroscopic visualization
  • Traction force gauge: Displays estimated distraction force, typically in the ~50–120 lbf range (≈100 lbf typical on the operative leg)
  • Traction controls: Independent fine and gross adjustment
  • Range of motion: Hip adduction, abduction, flexion, extension, and internal/external rotation
  • Boot system: Boa Fit System boots with Achilles block for ankle security and heel-slip mitigation
  • Positioning assist: Gas-shock-assisted foot/leg raising and lowering
  • Post option: Post-free by design, with a perineal post still available if needed
  • Stryker PostFree Frame 3105-000-100
  • Boa Boot Pair 3105-000-801
